The scenic area of Kanas in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region has received more than 10 million visitors in 2019, up 51 percent year on year.
URUMQI, Oct. 4 (Xinhua) -- As of Friday, the scenic area of Kanas in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region has received more than 10 million visitors in 2019, up 51 percent year on year, local authorities said.
The vigorous growth was brought by rapid development of tourism in Xinjiang, as well as the improvement of infrastructure and better service in Kanas, according to the management committee of the scenic area.

Located in central Altay Mountains in northern Xinjiang, the Kanas scenic area is a national 5A tourist attraction, with an impressive scenery of lakes, glaciers, forests and grasslands. ■
