FRANKFURT, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- German stocks lost on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index down 34.13 points, or 0.31 percent, to close at 10,887.46 points.
European health care company Fresenius SE lost 2.71 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by automotive supplier Continental and automotive manufacturer Volkswagen, which lost 2.05 percent and 1.77 percent respectively.
Housing association Vonovia gained 2.86 percent, becoming the top gainer. German airlines Lufthansa and semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies advanced 1.72 percent and 0.98 percent respectively.
Manufacturing and electronics company Siemens was the most traded share with a turnover of 230.7 million euros (265.9 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
