TOKYO, June 19 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks opened lower Tuesday.
As of 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average lost 102.07 points, or 0.45 percent, from Monday to 22,578.26.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, dropped 5.34 points, or 0.30 percent, to 1,766.09.
Air transportation, fishery, agriculture and forestry, and miscellaneous product-linked issues comprised those that declined the most in the opening minutes after the morning bell.
