Aerial photo taken on April 13, 2018 shows the bird-eye view of an unincorporated village Qingcaojie of Luya village in Pingshun County, Changzhi City of north China's Shanxi Province. On Sunday morning, Wang Xiugen and his wife packed all their stuff, moved out of the old house, headed to their new home at the foot of the Taihang mountains. Due to the remoteness of the mountainous area, they used to live a tough life with very few farming fields and much trouble of not just transportation. Wang's family is among more than 300 villagers living in the region that will be greatly benefited from the relocation programme. Local authorities took variety of methods to help alleviate poverty in the previously low-income region. Moving down the hill is the first step, the goal is to help villagers get richer through diversified farming such as stock farming, planting and so on. (Xinhua/Zhan Yan)
