Sergio Ledesma Vara, 36, came to Wuhan as a soccer coach three years ago as part of a program supported by Wuhan City to introduce a dozens of foreign coaches to train its promising teenage soccer players. Sergio is pretty busy every week. Every morning he makes a training plan with Chinese coaches and in the afternoon trains over 20 players all at the age of about eight. On Wednesdays and Thursdays, he gives customized classes to emerging players and in the spare time he often goes to ordinary schools to give soccer classes. Recognizing the gifts of his students, Sergio is trying to stimulate their potentials by adopting more different training methods and by encouraging them more. (Xinhua/Xiao Yijiu)
